The closure, reported at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, June 13, occurred westbound at between Exit 53 (Sagtikos State Parkway/Wicks Road; Route 7) in Islip and Exit 51 (Deer Park Avenue/Route 231) in Huntington.
The lanes reopened at around 1:30 p.m.
